UTICA to finalise its international action strategy by end of 2016

(TAP) – The Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) should finalise its international action strategy by the end of 2016, to market the Tunisian product and boost exports as a way to energise the national economy, UTICA said in a press release on Wednesday.

It was agreed during a meeting held Wednesday between UTICA President Wided Bouchamaoui and heads of Tunisian foreign business councils to hold regular meetings between the two sides, twice a year, to monitor and assess the work of the different sides on the international level and to set guidelines in this field.

UTICA’s International Relations Central Department, members of the executive board in charge of co-operation with different regions of the world (Africa, Europe, Asia) and foreign Tunisian business councils are taking part in the development of this strategy addressing the crisis facing the country.

This strategy will be inspired by experiences of UTICA partners.

The meeting, attended by members of UTICA’s national executive board, also turned on the ongoing preparations for the International Investment Conference “Tunisia 2020” and on the contribution of these councils to its success.
