Over 100 young journalists have participated in this unprecedented international media exchange project since 2015.
Sputnik news agency and radio is opening another session of its School of Young Journalists at its Moscow headquarters.
The session running through November 4 will have the largest intake since the project launch. This time, young journalists from 23 countries will participate. They represent more than 30 media companies, including ISNA (Iran), Ufuq News (Afghanistan), Tanjug (Serbia), Agence Tunis Afrique Presse (Tunisia), CNA (Cyprus), Blitz (Bulgaria), Anadolu (Turkey), VNA (Vietnam), FENA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), WAFA (Palestine), SRNA (Serbia); newspapers Diário de Notícias (Portugal), Xinmin Evening News (China), Kathimerini (Greece), Il Fatto Quotidiano (Italy), Kristeligt Dagblad (Denmark), Al Youm Al Sabaa (Egypt); India Today TV Network (India), and others.
The professional development program will introduce students to the operation of a modern multimedia news agency, main approaches to the development of online news platforms and the work of Russian journalists and photo correspondents in conflict zones. During hands-on workshops taught by leading experts in the field, young journalists will develop their own solutions to practical tasks of modern news desks and news services.
“Sputnik School of Young Journalists is a unique project that helps young professionals to learn more about Russian media and specific aspects of journalism as well as to establish professional contacts with colleagues around the world,” Sputnik Deputy Editor-in-Chief Anton Anisimov said.
Sputnik School of Young Journalists is part of the New Generation program of the Federal Agency for the CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
