Some 45 illegal migrants of African nationalities were rescued from a sinking boat off the island of Kerkennah in the province of Sfax in southeast Tunisia, Tunisian Interior Ministry said on Sunday evening. Syria begins flights to Tunisia

Syria’s only private air carrier Cham Wings Airlines flew to Tunisia on Thursday for the first time, adding another destination to its growing network, Almasdarnews reports. “The first tourist flight to Tunisia has taken off,” the airline announced in a Twitter post, which featured a cockpit-view video from the runway. Tunisian startup obtains UNICEF funding for blockchain project

Tunisian startup Utopixar is one of six companies from developing economies selected to receive investment from UNICEF’s Innovation Fund to solve global challenges using blockchain technology.
