Positive tourism outlook for Tunisia after successful 2017

-Thomas Cook chooses Djerba to hold its annual congress.
-Tui UK & Ireland reintroduces Tunisia for summer 2018.

Thomas Cook, the second European tour operator, has chosen the island of Djerba to organise its annual congress due on January 7-11, 2018 TAP reports.

The congress will be marked by the participation of no less than 300 French travel agents.

Visits of hotels and tourist sites in the island are scheduled as part of this congress, which will officially begin on January 8. The aim is to further encourage the marketing of the Tunisia destination on the French market which recorded, in 2017 a strong return, according to data provided by the regional tourist office in Djerba-Zarzis,   TAP Said.

This is merely an acknowledgement that Tunisia is a worth visiting site with its unique characteristics, on the social, cultural, historical and even geogrpahical levels.

In the same connection, Tui UK & Ireland Group, the world’s number one tourism business, has reintroduced Tunisia for summer 2018, with departures available from May.

The operator put a programme to Hammamet on sale Thursday, offering four flights a week from Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and Gatwick to Enfidha.

This is also another fact that puts Tunisia at the forefront of the world travel agencies’ choices.

In the previous year (2017), the number of foreign tourists in Tunisia rose by 23 % in 2017 compared with 2016, official data showed, after the ordeal endured two years ago.

A lesson must be taught to all those who give negative and false statements on Tunisia’s image worldwide. Tunisia is keen to show the tourists of the globe that it is safe to visit. All the Tunisian people must put in mind and make sure that  the coming high season will mark a complete change in Tunisian tourism.

Tunisia will never kneel down because it is supported by its people  to ascend far higher among all nations but all we need is working hard and understanding each other, the recipe is easy and within the reach of every one of us.
