Libya, Tunisia review cooperation in banking sector

The governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) Siddiq Al-Kabir met with the Tunisian Central Bank governor Marwan Abbasi in Tunis.

According to the CBL website, the meeting discussed cooperation between the two institutions and exchange of coordination and expertise, especially in the field of combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

The CBL explained that the meeting is part of the ongoing coordination between the two banks, and it also reflects the interest of the supervisory monetary authority in the two countries to combat money laundering and terrorist financing crimes, in addition to the need to unite efforts and coordination to address such issues.
