Kaouther Ben Hania’s feature film “Beauty and the Dogs” will represent Tunisia in the 2019 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, announced the National Film and Moving Image Centre (CNCI).

Under the aegis of the CNCI, the committee that met on Sunday, September 16 has selected this film which “meets the eligibility criteria defined by the US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

“Beauty and the Dogs” was the only Tunisian film in the running for the national short-listing,” adds the same source.
