Tunisia to reinforce national strategy, fighting cybercrime

Five dead in heavy rainfall in Tunisia

A heavy rainfall killed five people in Nabeul province in northeast Tunisia, Tunisian Civil Protection Spokesman Moez Triaa toldmedia on Sunday. According to Triaa, the dead included two sisters and a 13-year-old child. Tunisian manufacturing industry investment up 3.9 % in first 8 months

Investment in manufacturing industry in Tunisia reached 2.5 billion dinars ($ 900 million), registering a leap of  3.9 % compared with same period last year,  Ministry of Industry and Small-and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) revealed on Friday. The January-August period was marked by the increase of job creation reaching 41,188, up 2.4 % compared with last year, the ministry said. Tunisian fishermen retained by Italian authorities released

The Tunisian fishermen retained by the Italian authorities for several weeks, have been released and are expected back in Tunisia in the next few days, announced Saturday, the Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP). The fishing vessel “Bourassine hc 1015” that belongs to the port of Zarzis had been seized since August 30, 2018, by the Italian authorities and its crew arrested, as they had rescued a group of 14 illegal immigrants after informing the concerned Italian authorities in advance. World bank disburses $500 million loan to support Tunisia budget

The World Bank has disbursed a $500 million loan to support Tunisia’s budget, an official source told Reuters on Thursday. The disbursement raised Tunisia’s foreign exchange reserves to the equivalent of 78 days of imports, up from the equivalent of 68 days seen in recent weeks.
