German GIZ gives Tunisian Investment Authority technical support worth €5 million

The German Co-operation Agency (GIZ) donated the Tunisian Investment Authority a technical support worth €5 million to help the investment authority in its official start.

The financial agreement was inked by Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation, Zied Ladhari, president of the Authority Khalil Laabidi, Resident Director of the GIZ Office in Tunisia, Matthias Giegerich and representative of GIZ, Tobias Seiberlich.

The agreement is part of the “Investment Partnership” programme launched on June 12, 2012.

The technical support will bolster the institutional capacity of the Tunisian investment authority, by means of backing up Tunisia’s guidelines and reform programme so as to improve the investment climate and boost competitiveness.
