“Student Entrepreneurship Pole” launched

(TAP) – “El Ghazela Technology Centre” hosted on Monday the launching ceremony of the “Student Entrepreneurship Centre”, the first pilot space of its kind created as part of the University’s opening to its economic environment, with the aim of boosting the employability of higher education graduates and enhancing student initiative, TAP reports.

The project was funded by the European Union (EU) with the support of a number of national and international institutions and associations supporting the concept of the “initiating student”. It is meant, in the first instance, for students at the University of Carthage, who bring ideas for projects in various fields, such as medicine, engineering, tourism, agriculture, cinema, and so on…

These students, seeds of entrepreneurs, will be assisted by experts, specialists and university professors who will provide the appropriate technical training and guidance on financing opportunities and mechanisms, in close collaboration with financial structures.

In a statement to TAP, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Slim Khalbous, said that “the Ministry pledges to ensure the employability of higher degree holders through the “initiating student” mechanism.
