Infrastructure: A metro to link Nabeul, Hammamet and Kélibia

The Nabeul metro project will be carried out by the Chinese and various studies for this major infrastructure project are underway.

The metro will have to connect the three cities of the governorate of Nabeul, namely Nabeul, Hammamet and Kélibia.

A precise date for the start of the work is not yet revealed as it will be known according to the project studies, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Zied Ladhari said.

“Last week we signed an agreement with the Chinese government to carry out various projects, including the Nabeul metro. The Chinese partner will be in charge at the beginning of the project studies, which will start in a few weeks,” Ladhari told media.

Three memoranda of understanding were signed last Thursday, during the visit of Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation Zied Laadhari to China.

These memorandums of understanding will cover the implementation of several mega-projects to be carried out within the framework of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

The agreements are the three technical and economic feasibility studies of the Taparura administrative city projects in Sfax and the Nabeul metro project, signed by Laadhari and the Chinese partner.
