40,000 Algerians entered Tunisia last Weekend

At least 40,000 Algerian tourists visited Tunisia after crossing Oum Teboul’s border post during last weekend, The Ticker Times reported.

Oum Teboul’s border post has witnessed an extraordinary influx, having taken this route in two days, 40 000 Algerian holidaymakers. During the weekend, ten thousand vehicles passed through this border crossing, the same source added.

The reasons behind this rush are the approach of the end of the summer season and the start of the school year that provoked a craze and a growing interest of Algerians for Tunisia.

Usually, in summer and mainly August, Tunisia’s destination registers a significant rush by Algerians.
