Tunisia asks IMF for finance programme

Tunisia has asked the International Monetary Fund for a new financing programme, an IMF letter seen by Reuters shows, and is preparing to start talks with the fund. Mathematician Nader Masmoudi was elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Born in 1974 in Sfax, Nader Masmoudi was the first and only mathematician to win a gold medal for his country at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 1992. Tunisia: Migration awareness campaign ‘Esshih’ launched

An awareness campaign called Esshih was officially launched in Tunisia on April 8 to provide information on the risks posed by irregular migration to youths who could potentially undertake such a journey, to their families and to society as a whole. The campaign also aims to publicize possible alternatives in Tunisia to emigration or regular pathways to move abroad.
