Prime Minister Youssef Chahed who is running for the September 15 presidential election, on Thursday, announced his decision to delegate his powers to Minister of Public Service, Modernisation of the Administration and Public Policies Kamel Morjane until the end of the election campaign on September 13.
In TV remarks, Chahed said he has made this decision, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution, indicating that the Constitution allows the incumbent Prime Minister to stand for the presidential election while delegating his powers to one of the ministers.
