Third edition of the Korea-Tunisia-Africa Business Forum: Stressing Tunisia’s unique position as Centre for trilateral cooperation

The third session of the Korea-Tunisia-Africa Business Forum was held on Thursday in Tunis with representatives of 12 Korean companies and several Tunisian and African companies. The forum is one of the parallel activities of the International Forum for Financing Investment and Trade in Africa (FITA 2024).

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tunisia, Sun Nahm-kook, pointed out that Tunisia’s strategic location between Europe and Africa offers great opportunities for trilateral cooperation and helps Korean companies access these two continents’ markets.

He said that Korean companies were selected unlike the previous two editions, especially those that wish to enter the Tunisian market.

He added that this edition has a special characteristic as it comes a few days after the first Korea-Africa Summit, attended by 33 heads of state and government, including Tunisia.

The Korean Ambassador noted that despite the challenges of geographical distance, language barriers, and preferential agreements specific to both sides, the opportunities for cooperation are large and important and the will to diversify and expand them is very strong on both sides.
